Elements in Bloom had the honor of being part of 2010 ABC/ISES Tabletop Competition held at The Columbia Winery. ABC is the Association of Bridal Consultants and ISES is the International Special Event Society and every year a tabletop competition is held.
Lacey with Kemper Development Group contacted us to gain support for her table. Her theme was "Garden of Eden" which she re-named "Garden of Eatin."
It won 3rd Place for the competition!
She had all the details for a truly enchanted garden. The massive tree that I created from a wrought iron tree structure and made it bloom with lush greenery. I hung Amaranthus from the branches, to give that mossy, viny, forest look to it. I covered the trunk with Curly Willow to lend to the reality of a real tree and we planted spring bulb flowers at the base with butterflies, rocks and moss layered in. The tree had apples, birds and butterflies in it as well.
Lacey layered on the theme starting with a full moss tablecloth for the table. Her dishes were decopauged with verses from the Bible and her placecards were apples with name cards such as: Adam, Eve, Cain and God. She finished off the table with details like the bread and fruit baskets along with the large snake coming out of the tree. You don't see it in the photo, but there is a plate of ribs as well! Every last detail Lacey thought of for this table. She'd only been working on it for about a year.
We were honored to be a part of it and are thrilled to have won 3rd place. It was such a delight working with Lacey and creating the massive tree for the event. It was my first time working with the 5-6 ft wrought iron trees, it only took about 3 hours and 6 bunches of greenery, 2 bunches of Amaranthus and 1 bunch (but could have used 2) Curly Willow.
Stay tuned for professional photos of more details.
