Pretty in Pink

Sometimes, I just love pink! This beautiful bouquet was designed with delicate Sweet Peas, Pink Bouvardia, Waxflower, Spring Tulips, elegant Mini Calla Lilies and fun Fern Curls.
It smelled deliciously sweet and looked amazing.
For a woodsy and natural feel, we wrapped the bouquet with a collar of curly willow.
Finishing touch!

Love, love, love!

Real Weddings: 8.23.09 Kathleen & James

Kathleen & James were married at The Salish Lodge and Spa. What a gorgeous outdoor venue for a "green" wedding.
What a sweet and warm couple they are. Kathleen and James wanted to use as many "green" principles as possible for their wedding. We strived to use as little waste as possible in the designs and as many local flowers as we could source to create their vision of color, style and eco-consciousness.

Her bouquet was designed with local Dahlias and Zinnias in a variety of jewel toned colors. Local Annabelle and Blue Hydrangeas and the Roses were from California, as local as we could get.

The Ceremony was blocked with a greenery garland, fully compostable.

The Bride's bouquet accented her Grandmothers mini 1020's wedding dress and bird cage veil beautifully.

The Shepherd Hooks that lined the aisle were all rented, to avoid excess waste. The couple used the floral arrangement hanging as centerpieces after the ceremony to avoid additional excess waste and maximize their budget. The centerpieces were then given away to guests as gifts to enjoy. All the flowers were local from Washington and California, the vases were recycled glass and no floral foam was used since it's toxic to the environment. All the flowers and greenery are compostable.

What a beautiful bright and colorful setting to accent the natural greens and browns of the outdoor ceremony setting at the Salish.

Thank you to Summer Dawn Photography for the beautiful photos.

Wedding Network USA Seattle Launch Party

Last Wednesday was the official launch party for The Wedding Network USA, a non-profit group focusing on the growth of industry businesses through networking and professional development.
The party was hosted at the Columbia Tower Club and orchestrated by Jen Taylor, Taylor'd Events by Jen and Cherie Ronning, Uncommon Invites. Thank you for putting on such a fabulous event and asking me to be part of it. I am so thrilled!
Here's a sampling of the Floral and Decor I put together with some assistance (candles and drapery) from Melissa at Chic Celebrations. The lighting was done by Brian Dale at Wave link Music and the gorgeous linens accented the floral were from Liza at Choice Linens.

Look what happens when a whole lot of great people and businesses get together and put on a show. Spectacular.

Simple, yet modern cocktail table centerpieces of Burgundy Hypericum Berries, Antique Red and Green Hydrangeas and Brezillia Berries with an accent of Orchids and Curly Willow all sete in chic square black ceramic vases.

The lower tables surrounded by the Gold Chivari chairs, provided by Grand Event Rentals, featured tall glass cylinder vases encapsulating winter rose hip berries nestled in black rocks at the bottom of the vase. Atop lay a Espresso Manzanita Branch blooming with James Story Orchids and hanging votive candles.

The Room.

The Registration table was decorated with a tall rustic floral piece with submerged Curly Willow. The candy buffet was accented with Manzanita branches, votive candles and James Story Orchids, the Fleur de Lis gold flecked vases, provided by Chic Celebrations accented several of the tables.

Thank you Tania & Ken and Azzura Photography for the fantastic images!
