Our First Memorial 04.23.09

My friend's Aunt passed away on April 18th, from a short battle with cancer.
Jean Elaine Toyne was a vivacious and happy woman, she will be missed tremendously.
We had the opportunity to provide the family with some springtime flowers to remember Jean's life at the Rosary, held at Beck's Funeral Home. We chose bright, fun, spring colors and flowers to match Jean's fun-loving personality and laughter. We personalized each piece with a printed ribbon saying, "sister" and "Aunt Jean." The ribbons were purchased from Stadium Flowers.

Real Weddings: 9.3.06

Blast from the past... I got an email out of the blue from a Bride: Joanne Birkner that I worked with in September 2006 for her small wedding at Daniel's Broiler. She was one of the clients that made me realize that floral design was a passion for me. I met with her and the ideas just poured out of me, which expressed my true passion for floral design.
Although my design has definitely improved since then, she was one of my first clients who was willing to make some bold color choices and style choices in her wedding flowers. We created a rich and bold collection of Calla Lilies and Dahlias with a collar of Safari Sunset.
Thanks for sharing this oldy but goody!

Real Weddings: Cari & Jim 04.04.09

Look... it's Baby's Breath! :-0
Looking pretty good if you ask me.
The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets to the Bride, but smaller and not as many Lisianthus flowers. We added a touch of Kale (yes, the vegetable) for texture, color and fun!

The Bride had a color palette of lime green and white. She was on a budget, so we decided to primarily do filler bouquets with Baby's Breath, Hypericum Berry, Brazillia, looped Bear Grass and a few flowers like Lisianthus in white and Kermit Mums. Super cute and budget friendly!

Impressive bunch.

Real Weddings: Lyn & Jeff 4.5.09

These centerpieces added drama and flare to the beautiful Sodo Park by Herban Feast Venue. Created in vintage style pedestal urns with lush Blue Hydrangeas, Purple Carnations, Purple Dendrobium Orchids, Blue Iris, Fuschia Mums and Peacock Feathers they were spectacular.

The Bridesmaids carried bundles of Dark Purple Israeli Lisianthus, Lavender Sweet Peas, Blue Muscari, Puprle Anemone flowers and to add a touch of flare - Peacock Feathers!

The Bridal bouquet was a gorgeous collection of Lavender Sweet Peas that smelled oh-so delicate, Dark Purple Anemone, Schwarz Black Mini Calla Lilies and Dark Purple Israeli Lisianthus. Stunning!

Lyn & Jeff were so easy to work with and very open to lots of fun creative ideas. Lyn wanted a wild and whimsical bouquet in all rich dark purple and blues. I would say mission accomplished.
I look forward to seeing the photos from the photographer.
