Real Weddings: Kristy & Nick 3.14.09

Real Weddings: Kristy and Nick 3.14.09
Here's a few floral snapshots of the bouquets for Kristy and Nick's Wedding last week. I will hopefully have more soon.
Kristy and Nick got married at the Alexis Hotel, it was a beautiful, artsy and relaxed setting. I just love that hotel! They have wonderful house dogs that are so sweet and follow you around - I loved setting up with so much attention.
Kristy wanted all white flowers with accents of silver. I decided to do a combination of Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Stock, Spray Roses, Freesia and Silver painted Bear Grass looped among the blooms. Not only was the floral combination so delicate and elegant, it smelled absolutely wonderful! If only we had scratch n' sniff screens (new business venture- lol).

Here Bridesmaids carried little posies of Million Star Gypsophelia. Baby's Breathtaking - I call it. They were like little bundles of stars. I can't wait to see them against the girls Midnight Blue dresses. These were a budget friendly choice especially when you have 6 bridesmaids.
The Altar consisted of 2 tall glass vases filled to the brim with water and then a bundle of approximately 40 Stock Blooms slanted out of it. Very modern and simple. These were then transferred to the cocktail tables for the reception. Again, the smell was fantastic. Stock has a wonderful cinnamon scent that I just love.

Stay tuned for more photos from the photographer, Ethan Kim Photography.

Be a Better Bride

Be a Better Bride is a new venture by Jennifer Taylor and Taylor'd Event by Jennifer that gives brides a local resource to learn more about the wedding planning process. From budget to bridal bouquet, brides can get an in depth look at what to expect and inspect while planning a wedding.
Be a Better Bride is in it's beginning stages of development, but soon I believe you will be seeing classes pop up at all the local community colleges. You can take just 1 or 2 classes or the whole series depending on your time, budget and knowledge needed.
Congrats Jen! I look forward to working with you.
