Real Weddings: Ashley + Joe 10.03.09

Ashley & Joe were married on October, 3, 2009 at the Delille Cellars in Woodinville. A gorgeous wine country setting for a beautiful wedding.
The color palette was dark grape purple, creamy white and pops of chartreuse.

Ashley carried a stunning bouquet of Hydrangea, Vendella Roses, Ranunculus, Poppy Pods, Sage, Mint, Hypericum Berry, Seeded Eucalyptus and Orchids. Absolutely delightful!
The Bridesmaids wore a dark purple so we complimented the rich hue with creamy white Hydrangeas and Ranunculus, pops of lime green Hydrangeas and Mini Cymbidium Orchids and accents of purple Dendrobium Orchids. Texture was added with a touch of Sage and Hypericum Berry.

The Altar was set by two large Wine Barrels. A top the barrels stood fluffy arrangements of White Hydrangeas, Lime Mini Hydrangeas, Snowberry, Seeded Eucalyptus, Purple Dendrobium Orchids and Curly Willow.

Details of Hanging Amaranthus in chartreuse and glittered grapes - lent the perfect detail to fit the stage.

A beautiful, yet simple wine country affair. It was a true joy working with Ashley on creating her vision. She was gracious to leave most all the creative freedom to me. I love that! Thanks Ashley.
A big thank you to Sea Studio Photography for the beautiful photos and introducing me to their clients. It was a pleasure to be involved in such a fantastic event.
Congrats Ashley and Joe!!

Real Weddings: Tracy + Jason 10.11.09

Tracy and Jason were married at The Bastyr University Chapel with an afternoon reception following at the modern, W Hotel in Seattle.
Tracy had a simple, but chic vision for her and Jason's wedding in October. Her color palette was Eggplant purple and White. We worked together on a budget to create a spectacular affair with just the right touches that her guests and the bride and groom would remember forever.
Tracy carried a bundle of "Schwarz" Black Mini Calla Lilies. They lend a rich Eggplant color and a sleek and modern dimension for a stunning and simple bouquet to accent her dress.

The nautral chartruese colored stems give a pop of color to the blackness of the lily.

Tracy had 9 bridesmaids, so budget consciousness was a must. Instead of doing elaborate bouquets of $60 and up each, we created these little bundle of stars and sparkle with Million Star Gypsophelia or in other words, Baby's breath.
Baby's Breath is stunning on it's own and these little bouquets are so elegant and modern with the dark eggplant purple dresses.
Each one cost approximately $15!

The W Hotel, is such a modern and simple room, with high ceilings. We wanted to make an impression with the table decor without killing the budget.

We created these simple, but chic and modern asian inspired floral centerpieces alternating on each of the 20 tables. A tall glass cylinder vase was rented, along with black rocks & clear crystal gems at the bottom. We wrapped the bottom of the vase with a swirl of bear grass and then placed stems of Baby's Breath in half and Purple Dendrobium Orchids in the other half.
Against the black table linens, they really made an impression in the expansive room.

After the ceremony the 9 bridesmaids placed their starry bouquets in glass cylinders along the placecard table for decoration.

Thank you to Photo Elan for the fantastic shots and Keri with Bliss Events for coordinating such a fantastic event!

It smelled deliciously sweet and looked amazing.
For a woodsy and natural feel, we wrapped the bouquet with a collar of curly willow.
Finishing touch!

Love, love, love!

Real Weddings: 8.23.09 Kathleen & James

Kathleen & James were married at The Salish Lodge and Spa. What a gorgeous outdoor venue for a "green" wedding.
What a sweet and warm couple they are. Kathleen and James wanted to use as many "green" principles as possible for their wedding. We strived to use as little waste as possible in the designs and as many local flowers as we could source to create their vision of color, style and eco-consciousness.

Her bouquet was designed with local Dahlias and Zinnias in a variety of jewel toned colors. Local Annabelle and Blue Hydrangeas and the Roses were from California, as local as we could get.

The Ceremony was blocked with a greenery garland, fully compostable.

The Bride's bouquet accented her Grandmothers mini 1020's wedding dress and bird cage veil beautifully.

The Shepherd Hooks that lined the aisle were all rented, to avoid excess waste. The couple used the floral arrangement hanging as centerpieces after the ceremony to avoid additional excess waste and maximize their budget. The centerpieces were then given away to guests as gifts to enjoy. All the flowers were local from Washington and California, the vases were recycled glass and no floral foam was used since it's toxic to the environment. All the flowers and greenery are compostable.

What a beautiful bright and colorful setting to accent the natural greens and browns of the outdoor ceremony setting at the Salish.

Thank you to Summer Dawn Photography for the beautiful photos.
